About Close Protection Training & Close Protection Courses
In March 2006, it became illegal to work in Close Protection in the United Kingdom unless you are a holder of a front line Close Protection license. To obtain a license you must complete and pass a course that is compliant with the specifications as laid down by the SIA. We are fully approved to offer this standard.
Our course covers the 150 hours of training that is necessary to apply for a license.
The course is 14 days in duration and is a combination of classroom and practical exercises. It is an intensive course and all sections of the course must be completed to allow you to apply for your license.
As part of your training we will take you through:
• Introduction to the roles and responsibilities of the close protection operative
• Threat and Risk Assessment • Surveillance Awareness • Operational Planning
• Law and Legislation • Interpersonal Skills • Close Protection Teamwork • Reconnaissance

• Close Protection foot techniques • Communication and Conflict Management Skills
What will you get?
